When my Mother died, my Daughter commented as she placed
a flower in her Grandmother's hands, "If Granddad kisses her, will she wake up?"
Most children do not understand death or dying. This book is directed
towards younger children to help them understand death, and the loss of someone
they love.
This story is dedicated to Linda Atkerson Hozendorf, who
valiantly lived the remainder of her life as she always had-comforting those she
loved and loving those who loved her.
The two main characters, Potus, a mischievous Miniature
Doberman Pinscher, and the Grey Rabbit, a gift to Miss Linda when she was in
Hospice, become friends. Together they learn to share her love, comfort
her when she cries, and love her enough to let her go.
